Mark 's first and only art student, Payton, age 7 1/2, premeired her first 3 Original paintings at Yankton Riverboat Days. All paintings were 8x10s and consisted of a rose, a landscape and lilacs. 2 of the 3 Originals sold and are shown below:

Mark was recognized as one of 3 South Dakota Federal Duck Stamp Award winning Wildlife Artists who have helped raise large funds through contributions of their artwork to benefit Ducks Unlimited. A plaque was uncovered in their honor at the most recent Conservation project Ducks Unlimited unvailed just West of Brookings, SD.

Mark was recently chosen to be one of a dozen artists to feature Original artwork in the new Avera Cancer Institute in Sioux Falls. Over 100 South Dakota artists submitted proposals and Avera chose about 10% of those who applied. The new Avera Cancer Institute is due to be finished around October 2010.
